  • Aaron Rigby

    Director and founder

    Aaron boasts a rich background spanning two decades across Christian, Educational, and Government spheres. Armed with a degree in Applied Theology, Youth and Community Work, an NVQ Level 6 in Careers Guidance, and a Level 7 Chaplaincy in Education, Aaron melds expertise with a heartfelt calling to deliver the Gospel message to resonate with young hearts. Aaron is a certified FA-qualified football coach, not just a youth work leader, adding dynamism to his versatile skill set.

    In his personal life, Aaron, happily married to school Nurse Caroline, cherishes parenting four children. The Rigby family's joy extends to beach days and camping holidays, embodying connection and adventure.

    Aaron's journey isn't just organisational leadership—it's a commitment to shaping positive narratives through faith and community for young lives.

  • Harry Vincent

    Associate Director

    Our dedicated Associate Director at Dorset Youth for Christ—an inspirational pillar for young lives! Armed with a BA (Hons) Degree in Applied Theology, a JNC Qualification in Youthwork, and a Level 7 Chaplaincy Qualification, Harry boasts over thirteen years of relational expertise. Guiding young individuals through diverse challenges, he equips them with practical and emotional skills for triumph. In his role, Harry provides core spiritual support, creating an environment where young people flourish.

    Beyond his professional pursuits, Harry, along with his wife and two children, embraces life in picturesque Dorset. Fueled by a passion for adventure, they explore nature's wonders and practice wilderness living skills.

  • Jake Parker

    Senior Youthworker

    Jake is deeply committed to igniting a fire in the hearts of the next generation. Equipped with a BA Hons in Applied Theology, Jake’s mission extends beyond stirring the hearts of local youth as he aspires to empower the local church nationally.

    After graduating, Jake spent three impactful years leading youth ministry in the vibrant city of Aberdeen, and ran various gathered youth events in different parts of the country.

    Following his time in Scotland, Jake returned to the sunny shores of the South Coast. For six years, at a multicampus church based in Poole, he had the privilege of leading NXT-GEN ministry (0-18’s). Subsequently, Jake joined the Dorset Youth for Christ team as our Senior Youth Worker.

    Jake enjoys any type of football, and any type of board game and is happily married to Sophie… Unless she beats him at ‘Ticket to ride’. Together, they are raising two beautiful children, Liberty and Levi.

  • Sam Mead

    Youthworker & Digital Manager

    Graduating from Moorlands in 2015 with a BA Hons Applied Theology with Youth and Community work. Ever the glutton for punishment, Sam graduated from De Montfort University with an MA In Youth, Health, and Community Development in January.

    He is one of our youth workers and is mainly based in Bridport. Where he works with various schools across Bridport. where he strives to be a version of Mr Poppy from nativity!

    Sam also heads up everything digitally for us; if it has been made digitally, it's probably been created by him! If not, then it's wrong!

    When he isn't working with us, he enjoys cooking and playing board games with friends; he has a ridiculous method that helps him win a ticket to ride!

  • Lydia Bird

    Youthworker

    Lydia is a youth worker based in Sherborne, working in partnership with Dorset YFC and ReBorne Church. Lydia recently graduated from Moorlands College with a BA (Hons) in Applied Theology with Youth & Community Work and a JNC accreditation.

    Since joining the team, Lydia has been working in Sherborne each week at ReBorne Church, at Tinneys Youth Club, and in the local secondary school, as well as working with children and young people in the nearby village, Milborne Port.

    Lydia is passionate about helping young people within the community and the church to learn new skills, grow in confidence, and fulfil their potential. Outside of work, she enjoys going swimming in the sea (even during the chilly months), going on charity shop trips with her husband, JJ, and going on long walks – especially when there’s a good view along the way!

  • Liz Wesley-Barker

    Youthworker

    Liz joined DYFC in January 2022 and also works part-time for PACE Trust in Poole and the National Citizenship Service. DYFC work is mainly at Tinneys Youth Club in Sherborne on a Monday and Wednesday afternoon/evening as well as supporting county-wide Resound events and leading the children’s work on the odd church weekend away.

    Liz was a primary school Head Teacher for 9 years and was the winner of the Church Schools Award for South-West and Wales in 2012. More recently she completed a Masters in Applied Theology at Moorlands College.

    Liz is married to Johnny, and they worship at Blandford Forum Parish Church where she is on the preaching rota and leads worship with her husband once a month. In her spare time, Liz enjoys long coastal walks and bike rides and is partial to a bit of charity shopping with tea and cake thrown in for good measure.
