Dorset) New Forest Youth for Christ, in partnership with New Life Church

About the Role

This is a pioneering youth leadership role with Dorset Youth for Christ in partnership with New Life Church, based at the New Life Centre and across New Milton and the New Forest.

You’ll be part of a church passionate about sharing the message of Jesus in relevant ways, helping young people encounter faith, grow as disciples, and make a difference in their communities.

This role can be full-time or part-time and includes training, mentoring, and ongoing support. You’ll work across church and community settings, including Sundays and some evenings.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll lead and grow youth ministry both inside and outside the church, helping shape a culture where young people belong and thrive.

This includes:

  • Building relationships with young people, schools, families, and the wider community

  • Developing midweek youth groups, Sunday discipleship, and outreach initiatives

  • Reaching young people not currently connected to church

  • Recruiting, training, and supporting volunteer leaders

  • Creating engaging programmes that inspire faith and discipleship

  • Partnering with local churches and organisations

  • Leading events, trips, and residentials

  • Supporting church life and contributing to its wider mission

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for young people and a strong personal faith.

You’ll ideally be:

  • A committed Christian with a heart for evangelism and discipleship

  • Experienced in youth work (or with strong transferable skills)

  • Relational, creative, and self-motivated

  • A confident communicator and team player

  • Organised and able to lead projects effectively

  • Comfortable engaging both in church settings and the wider community
